Likha's Cradle's Voice for the Voiceless
Have you heard of VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS: JAM FOR A CAUSE? It's a concert that was meant to raise money for the unfortunate strays on the street.
How much was raised? First you gotta understand why the concert was created in the first place. I already mentioned that the concert was made to raise money for stray animals, but it was also intended for unfortunate pets.
Because all children deserve a father, but not all men deserve a child -- this also applies to pets because many “pets” are being ABUSED by their fur parents. At the moment, there are approximately 12M stray and abused animals.
12 MILLION stray animals and non-stray, but ABUSED animals in the Philippines alone!
Now that you know WHAT this concert was for, let me introduce to you Lihka’s Cradle and its founder, Megan Uyao.
Megan, when she was younger, saw the abuse of a poor stray puppy on the street by several passersby. She took the puppy under her wing. This became one of the core reasons why she started a welfare.
Lihka’s cradle is a NON-PROFIT organization that aims to hit 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) of the United Nations. It exists to raise funds and give support to stray animals who can’t speak for themselves.
Here's a video for you to understand Megan's cause better:
To empower youth to advocate for these SDGs and for the welfare of these poor animals, Megan invited eight talented musicians—Sophia Grace, Ysa Yap, Zsaris, Mikhaila, and four close friends, Mishka, Gabby, Erica, and Tim (aka Stratus)—to perform in a fundraising concert. Here are some of Likha's Cradle's official photos from the event:
And here's the video on the music that night:
How to help:
The fundraising concert was ROCKING for everyone that attended. The team raised a total of Php 10,000, but YOU still have a chance to make a difference!Likha’s Cradle is still accepting donations for the welfare of stray animals through this GCASH number: 0936 900 9695

And that's all Blogsketeers!
Just a final reminder -- if a stray animal on the street is somewhat aggressive, maybe because it's scared. Maybe all it needs is a kind, gentle family that it can go home to.
See you next time!
